Licorice Spice Herbal Tea
- 20 ct - 20 tea bags in a box
- Case - six 20 ct boxes
If Stash would have a hall of fame for herbal teas, you'd find this legendary blend from there. While our Licorice Spice tea is what the sweet dreams are made of, we don't add sugar (or candy!) to our teas. To make this luscious tea, we use licorice root, a naturally sweet and delicious ingredient that is sweeter than sugar cane, and combine it with spectacular spices. Cinnamon, orange peel, star anise, and sarsaparilla, all come together with rich licorice root, to make a sweet- and spice-forward tea.
This iconic and unrepeatable recipe has been in high demand since we first created it in the 1970s, so you know you’ve got a champion. Some consider it to be a dessert tea, while others love it as a sore throat soother. And since it’s an herbal tea, it’s the perfect after-dinner bev to treat yo’self with. Personally, we think of this licorice root tea as an anytime treat, good for whenever the flavor calls.
Licorice root*, cinnamon, orange peel, star anise, vanilla extract, sarsaparilla, orange oil, natural cinnamon flavor, clove bud oil, cardamom oil
*Licorice root is not intended for use during pregnancy and while nursing, or if you have heart disease or high blood pressure.

Licorice spice tea is my absolute favorite flavor of them all! The spices are just perfect. Some licorice items have an overpowering taste but this tea is wonderful! Thank you Stash Tea Company!
I have been drinking Licorice Spice Herbal Tea for years now and love it. At night it sooths my cough and allows me to get to sleep. I will use this tea for my entire life.
I am not a tea connoisseur. I just love this tea. I drink a lot of plain water throughout the day so I like to have something different at night (or when its really cold), but without the calories. The Licorice Spice tea is perfect. It has a sweet and spicy flavor that requires no need for sugar or milk or whatever else people put in their teas. I recommend giving it a try.
I have been drinking the Stash Licorice Spice Herbal Tea for many years (more than 16). I've always used the bags, and keep my brewing method carefully controlled (water, time, temperature, contact). Since I usually buy the tea "in bulk" and don't drink it every day, I tend to restock only once every 12 to 18 months or so. I recently purchased a new batch of Licorice Spice tea bags (online, since I was unable to find it any place locally any longer and had been looking for weeks) and was surprised to find that taste has apparently changed (in addition to the packaging) since the last time I purchased it (approximately mid-to-late 2017). I agree strongly with an earlier reviewer that the potency of the licorice root taste has been significantly diminished, and I would also note that the current blend also has stronger citrus/cinnamon notes than the "older" version. In addition, the bags have noticeable amounts of cinnamon dust residue inside the bag (which I never noticed in the older version bags). Even with the repeated duplication of my controlled brewing method, I can tell that the "new" version of the brewed tea is much lighter in color than before, and has far less of a red tint to the finished product (I wish I had photos of both the old and new for proof of my claim). Please be honest with me Stash (and I would appreciate a reply): did you folks change your ingredient blend with this particular flavor, or perhaps change a supplier of key ingredients? I easily give the old version of the tea that I drank for many years 5 stars, but I struggle to even generously give this current (newer) version 3 stars. As the artist Mathew Sweet sang: "Nothing Lasts". I grieve this state of affairs, and implore Stash to go back to the older formulation if that is the root cause for the flavor change. If it costs a little more, then so be it as the original taste is worth every penny.
Hello! Thank you for leaving a review. I'm so sorry that you had trouble with our Licorice Spice tea! Although we have changed our packaging, our tea has remained the same. We have not made any changes to our tea. If we have not yet connected about this issue please email us at email@example.com so that we can address your concerns.
Licorice adds a sweetness that you experience with the first sip and lingers after the last swallow. The blend of spices are perfect for a comforting winter time tea!
Not a big tea drinker and do not like black liqorice but . . . . . love this tea!!
Had stumbled onto the "digestive tea" at Saje but they have discontinued it and I have been on a quest since so was very happy to find this tea! Love it!
