At Stash, we’ve been the teaheads’ brand for tea people everywhere since the 70s. We believe flavor is never an afterthought, but the heart and soul of every cup. Today, we’re taking a deep dive into a blend that is bright, crisp, and mindful: our Moroccan Mint Green Tea.
Think of this as a vibe check for your afternoon. Our blend isn't just minty; it's a deliciously-inventive fusion of green tea, spearmint from the Pacific Northwest, lemongrass, and peppermint.
Here is how to brew a cup that feels like a morning cold plunge.
The Ritual: Steep to Perfection
To capture that refreshing moment, follow these steps:
-
Fresh Water: Start with fresh, cold water.
-
Temperature Control: Heat your water to 170–180°F (77–82°C). Green tea is delicate; boiling water can make it opaque rather than vibrant. Authentic Moroccan tea is made in a metal teapot. Use one if you have one.
-
The Pour: Place one Stash Moroccan Mint tea bag in the pot per cup of water used.
-
The Wait: Steep for 1–3 minutes. This ensures a smooth, mellow infusion without any bitterness. Remove the bags.
- The Authentic Lift: For a true Moroccan experience, pour the tea from a height to create a "head" of froth. This aerates the tea, making it bright and crisp. You want to be a foot or higher above your glass.
Make it Your Way
-
Sweeten the Moment: Authentic Moroccan tea is often served with a generous amount of sugar to balance the fresh mint, about a tablespoon per cup of water used. This can be added to your glass or the teapot before your high pour. You can pour the tea back into the teapot and repeat the process a few times to fully aerate and mix the sugar.
- Enjoy Hot or Iced: This blend is equally velvety and cooling when served over ice. For full flavor over ice, we recommend doubling the tea bags.
Whether you’re seeking a quiet moment or a total reset, our Moroccan Mint is the inventive catalyst you need to refresh, recharge, and awaken your senses.
