Yunnan Gold Tip Black is a pleasant-drinking tea with large, attractive leaves and plentiful gold tips. It is perhaps the smoothest of all the Yunnan teas. Full-bodied with a rich, lingering aftertaste.

This tea is grown in the southwest mountainous area of Yunnan province in China, where wild tea trees hundreds and perhaps a thousand years old are still vigorous. This area is sometimes referred to as the "birthplace of tea." Yunnan is a misty, mountainous province (the yun in Yunnan means "cloud"). This area borders Vietnam, Laos, and Burma and has grown tea for 1700 years.

"Hailing from China's southwestern Yunnan Province, this tea is notable for its abundance of golden tips. Full-bodied and robust, yet smooth with a pronounced sweetness, this is a masterfully balanced example of the flavorful black teas for which China is renowned. It's fantastic without any additions, but a bit of cream and sugar will bring out delightful notes of caramel and chocolate."Zack P. (Retail Associate, 7 years)

My go-to Tea

Yunnan Gold Tips is one of my favorite teas (along with Christmas Morning). My go-to tea whenever I want a delicious cup.
I use milk and sweetener in it, but it doesn't need much of either. It's a treat!

Comforting Cup

I have never left a review for tea before, but I tend to rely on others. So I felt it important to note the quality of this subtle and pleasant cup of tea. I have always enjoyed this, but recently served it to friends that would know good tea and they were very pleased with it. Give it a try!
