Portland, Oregon, known as the City of Roses, is the home of Stash Tea. The metropolis's unique combination of rich volcanic soil and abundant moisture, coupled with a long, mild spring, creates the perfect conditions for growing world-class roses.
Prized since the dawn of history, roses are known as the queen of flowers. In 1985, Stash Tea developed this special tea blend in honor of the Portland Rose Festival held each June.
To create this romantic blend, we combine fragrant Rose Congou black tea from China with natural raspberry flavor. Although China produces a lot of great black teas, very little black tea is consumed within the country itself. Rose Congou, however, is one notable exception.
The black tea is spread with rose flowers while oxidizing; this exposure to aromatic rose petals lends a mild, flowery fragrance to the tea and creates a naturally scented, sweet cup. A few rose petals are left in the tea as decoration.
Our Rosebud black tea yields a smooth and aromatic cup when brewed. The tea is wonderfully aromatic, with a fresh quality that invokes the essence of damask roses. Rosebud tea is especially delightful with a touch of honey.

The tea had a little to much raspberry for my taste buds. It is good enough to be put into rotation as a summer tea just not for everyday.
Rosebud is the tea that introduced me to Stash, and I loved it from day one, which was more than 20 years ago. With a taste of honey, it warms my heart. Thank you for your grand teas.
I was on the Portland Rose Festival court in 1985 when this tea debuted at a tea party for the court. It was given to us in a beautifully handcarved box with a rose on the top. I still have my box today. I went on to become queen and have loved this tea ever since. I still recommend it to people everywhere I go.
This is a very nice rose tea. It does not have as strong a rose flavor as I was looking for, but it is very nice nonetheless. Lovely in the afternoon.
Please make a version of this rosebud black tea without the natural raspberry flavor for the floral and non-fruit tea flavor lover.
I love most all of Stash's teas that I have tried - which is a lot!! I was excited to get this tea - I love floral teas in general. I was disappointed when I opened the bag
