Double Grey Portland Fog Latte Recipe
Makes one 16 oz drink
- 1 tablespoon of Double Grey Portland Fog tea leaves
- 7 ounces boiling water
- 1 ounce (2 Tablespoons) of vanilla syrup
- 6 ounces steamed milk or milk substitute
Steep tea leaves in 7 ounces of boiling water, 190°F - 210°F (88°C - 99°C) for 3-5 minutes and remove the leaves. Stir in 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) of vanilla syrup (found in most grocery stores in the coffee aisle). Pour in 6 ounces of freshly steamed milk finishing with a layer of milk foam, and serve. Enjoy!
I have always enjoyed Earl Grey tea, but this tea is special. I don't drink tea with milk, or sweetener, but this tea doesn't need either.
This is a good blend; the bergamot really comes through. But seriously, a tablespoon for eight ounces? I use two heaping teaspoons for ten ounces. But taste, like beauty, is in the eye/mouth of the beholder/drinker. To make the vanilla part easier I put two small pieces of vanilla bean in the glass jar where I store my tea. Add regular milk and it's great.

Enjoying both the Earl Grey blend and the Chamomile. Delicious and so aromatic.
This tea is new to me. I am a big fan of the double bergamot so I decided to try this option. It has a smooth and delicious flavor, I will order it again. I prefer my tea without milk but a friend added milk and liked that result very much as well.
I love Earl Grey Teas. Double Grey Portland Fog is great served black and the latte recipe is superb.
The Double Grey Portland Fog is wonderful! It reminds me of the Double Bergamot I have always loved, but it seems fresher, clearer. I'm very pleased with it.
