Pendleton Harding Travel Bottle by Klean Kanteen
In 1923, President Harding and his wife were in Meachem, Oregon to celebrate the old Oregon Trail at a ceremony that drew 30,000 people. At the commemoration, local Cayuse and Umatilla chiefs presented First Lady Florence with a shawl in the Harding pattern, inspired by the already famous Chief Joseph Pendleton pattern.
