It is with great pleasure that we bring you Bitaco tea plantation’s Wiry Green Tea. We think you’ll fall in love with the look and unique taste of this excellent tea from Colombia’s finest tea estate.
Bitaco’s passion for excellence is evident not only when you take a look at the appearance of the leaves, but also from the very first sip. Gentle traditional orthodox methods are followed, and the effort that goes into producing these teas is truly a labor of love.

Varietals that were originally imported from Ceylon are planted in deep, young volcanic soils that are rich in minerals and inherently perfect for abundant Camellia sinensis growth. Close proximity to the Equator ensures lots of sunshine and a consistent climate. When you combine that with plenty of pure mountain water, the result is bountiful yields of high quality tea year round.
We have deep respect for Bitaco Tea plantation who have shown incredible support for their community through the creation of the Agricola Himalaya Foundation, which has helped develop and improve programs focusing on infrastructure, education for the region’s children, recreational opportunities, local culture, and access to technology.
Wonderful cup of green brew. Slight floral with a hint of grassiness and mildly lingering. Better than most greens from China. I recommend this strongly if you like green tea.
It tastes better than I hoped! I was looking for something organic and not from China. I used to love Teavana Emperors Clouds and Mist but that is not organic and I believe is from China. I read somewhere China has higher levels of lead in their teas. Anyway the taste is somewhat like Emperors Cloud.. toasty, comforting type of taste. I love it! Will reoder when I'm out. Also I love the reasealable bag it comes in. Cant wait to try my other purchases next (organic chocolate orange and organic chai).
