Stash Yunnan White Tip

Yunnan White Tip is an exceptional Chinese black tea. It has a robust flavor which tends to be smoky and toasty, unusual characteristics for Yunnan teas.

The leaves are also larger than most Yunnans. They are plucked during the perfect time when the tips are smaller and still white.

This tea is grown in the southwest mountainous area of Yunnan province in China, where wild tea trees hundreds and perhaps a thousand years old are still vigorous. This area is sometimes referred to as the "birthplace of tea."

Yunnan is a misty, mountainous province (the "yun" in Yunnan means "cloud"). This area borders Vietnam, Laos, and Burma and has grown tea for 1,700 years.
