Lemon Myrtle is an Australian native tree indigenous to the coastal, sub-tropical rainforests of Queensland and New South Wales. It is the most popular native ingredient/flavoring in Australia.

Non-acidic, Lemon Myrtle (Backhousia citriadora), is harvested year-round. In early summer, the tree is covered with clusters of white, four-petalled flowers.
