Turning Over a New Leaf - The Stash Tea Catalog Store Opens

Portland, OR - Step into the newly opened Stash Tea Catalog Store and the aroma of more than 150 varieties of premium loose teas infuses the air. With names as exotic as their origins, such teas as Tiger Hill Estate Nilgiri Black and Gyokuro Asahi Pearl Dew Green line the shelves and tempt customers along the sampling bar.
It is official; the Stash Tea Catalog Store is now open and ready to serve tea lovers as well as those curious about the world's second favorite beverage (only water tops tea).
In addition to the largest selection of loose tea in Portland, the store offers an extensive selection of teapots, accessories, and gift collections, just in time for holiday shopping.
"People know us through our catalog and premium tea bags found in grocery stores and restaurants, but they may not be aware of the loose teas and gifts that we offer. One of our goals with this store is to broaden the tea drinking experience for customers," says Mitzi Bodine, Customer Service Manager.
The new 1,000-square-foot store is tucked into a commercial office park located at 7250 SW Durham Rd., Building J, in Tigard, one block north of the new Bridgeport Village shopping center. Located adjacent to the company's plant and mail order fulfillment center, the store is the first retail outlet to be opened by Stash Tea.
In fact, the new store is the company's popular mail order catalog brought to life with its superior quality teas as well as delectable baked goods and beautiful gift collections on display.
"The Stash Tea mail order catalog is well-known, and we expect that the store will be a desirable destination for our local customers as well as visitors to the area who purchase tea from our catalog and website," says Dick Larsen, Stash Tea's General Manager.
Sampling and tasting of teas will be featured at the store along with a "build a basket" section where customers can create their own one-of-a-kind gift baskets.
In addition, a kiosk will be available for placing and shipping orders on-line. Also, customers who want to place orders on-line from their home will be able to pick up their items at the store.
Hours of operation for the Stash Tea Catalog Store are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
