Mulling Spice

Our premium blend of mulling spices adds festive flavor to your drink; even better, the brewing will fill your kitchen with its spicy-sweet aroma.


  • 1 gallon apple juice, cider or red wine
  • 4 tbsp Mulling Spice
  • cinnamon sticks (optional)
  • 1 sweet apple, sliced (optional)


Put the apple juice, spices (loosely in the pot or in an infuser or cheesecloth sack) and sliced fruit into either a crockpot or a stove top pot. Cover with a lid and heat until the juice is simmering.

If using a crockpot, turn the heat to low and keep cooking for at least an hour. The longer it steeps, the richer the juice becomes. For stove top cooking, keep the juice covered and simmer on low for at least an hour.

To serve, remove or strain out the spices, pour the juice into cups and garnish with a cinnamon stick. You can eat the apple slices, or keep simmering until they become soft and mash them into spiced apple sauce.
