Product Details

The Irish like their tea brewed very strong. Our Super Irish Breakfast blend is truly "the espresso" of teas. This tea is delicious with milk and sugar, but lovers of brisk breakfast teas will drink it plain.

Our Super Irish Breakfast is a more caffeinated version of the regular Irish Breakfast. While Irish Breakfast is usually blended with an Assam tea base, our Super Irish Breakfast has even more Assam, which makes the tea maltier, richer and more full-bodied.

Assam is a district in northeastern India that lies on the Indian-Burmese border. It produces more black tea than any other area on earth, with the exception of a few places in China. Assam's tea gardens cover some four hundred thousand acres of verdant rolling plains on both sides of the mighty Brahmaputra River.

The other black tea used in our Super Irish Breakfast blend is Ceylon. Ceylon-or its contemporary name Sri Lanka-is a beautiful tropical island that lies just twenty-two miles off the southern tip of India. Sri Lanka supplies about 25% of the world's tea. The nearly six hundred thousand acres of tea under cultivation provide well over half of the island's export earnings.

Note: The 1000 ct tea bags are packaged loose in a box.

Being from Ireland myself I order this tea directly from Stash. It is a wee bit of Ireland in the Ozarks. Bold, flavorful and refreshing. I like to brew it in the morning, afternoon and early in the evening. One cannot have too much tea, especially Super Irish Breakfast Tea.

Enjoy

The Best, Richest Black Tea!

This is the best, deepest, most lovely black tea! It is a superlative pick-me-up in the morning and also wonderful in the afternoons. I cannot recommend this enough! Anyone who likes their black tea to be rich and assertive without a lot of bitterness or without an excess of smoky characteristics, this tea is for you.

An old friend

This tea is one of my favorites. I'm been to Ireland quite a few times now, and this is what I remember being served over there. It brews nice and dark, especially for people like me who need their morning caffeine! This isn't a tea for beginners, though. The flavor is strong and so is the aroma. And watch the staining effects -- probably as bad as coffee for your teeth! I drink it "black" (no milk) with just a little sugar and it makes me feel like I'm back in Ireland having my breakfast -- without the "black pudding."

I love the flavor of this tea! If you're looking for a real caffeine kicker this is the one for you. It's a perfect get you up and going in the morning kind of tea!

This is the Tea I have been trying to find since returning from a trip to Ireland in the late 80's. After the Tea I brought home with me was gone I have been dissapointed with all of the so called "Irish" teas I've tried even the emports which were very expensive!
