Product Details
Portland, Oregon, known as the City of Roses, is the home of Stash Tea. The metropolis's unique combination of rich volcanic soil and abundant moisture, coupled with a long, mild spring, creates the perfect conditions for growing world-class roses.
Prized since the dawn of history, roses are known as the queen of flowers. In 1985, Stash Tea developed this special tea blend in honor of the Portland Rose Festival held each June.
To create this romantic blend, we combine fragrant Rose Congou black tea from China with natural raspberry flavor. Although China produces a lot of great black teas, very little black tea is consumed within the country itself. Rose Congou, however, is one notable exception.
The black tea is spread with rose flowers while oxidizing; this exposure to aromatic rose petals lends a mild, flowery fragrance to the tea and creates a naturally scented, sweet cup. A few rose petals are left in the tea as decoration.
Our Rosebud black tea yields a smooth and aromatic cup when brewed. The tea is wonderfully aromatic, with a fresh quality that invokes the essence of damask roses. Rosebud tea is especially delightful with a touch of honey.
