This is the best pot I have ever brewed loose tea in. The leaves are kept in the lower third of the pot and generally speaking, do not pour off into the cup until late into your tea drinking. I think this is due to the design of the spout. I stir the tea before pouring the first cup. We use a cosy and drink HOT tea for an hour and a half. Within a few months of getting this beautiful teapot, I was back for another one just because I feared an accident might deprive me of it. And what's all this about dripping? This pot never drips.
Yesterday a large jar of Kalamata olives fell from an upper shelf and took out the handle of my teapot. We immediately brought out the spare. Now here I am to buy a back up for the current perfect teapot. Given the way olives leap about in my kitchen; maybe I should get two.

Nice brewing - poor pouring and handling

I bought this teapot due to dripping and limited capacity of my Acorn "For Life" tea pot...it appeared to be similar in design to a Japanese ceramic tea pot I used for years (until it cracked) but I am disappointed in the significant dripping when pouring the Ch'a tea pot, as well as the design of the handle (curved in a way that the pot burned my little finger when pouring for the first time). It does keep the tea hot for a long time (much longer than the "For Life" Acorn tea pot) and brews a great cup of tea...the problem is pouring afterwards! It's glaze is ok on top, but too muddy a brown for my taste on the bottom half of the pot (although the bottom half is normally not seen from above). The first pot shipped to me had an imperfection in the glaze (bare spot was showing through in one spot) and this was a replacement from Stash, at no charge. Glaze on the replacement was not as attractive.
