This unique nectar-like tea is one of our most popular blends. Licorice, a root sweeter than sugar cane, has been combined with cinnamon, orange peel, star anise, and sarsaparilla for this delicious herbal tea. The naturally sweet dessert-like qualities of Licorice Spice make it a perfect after dinner tea. Caffeine-free.

Note: The 1000 ct tea bags are packaged loose in a box.

Most unusual!

My fiance and I both had our first cup of this for an after-dinner treat. It's very unusual. He needed a bit of sweetener, while I decided not to add any.

He loves it and wants to add it to the permanent rotation. I'm on the fence. I like the flavor, but the scent (part of the overall 'experience' for me) doesn't do much for me at all.

It may grow on me, though! Still, it's a solid 4.5, with that half being because the brewed aroma didn't do a whole lot for either of us.

That said, well done, Stash! You never fail to bring new flavors to our palates!

OMG. This cup of tea is fabulous. If you like black licorice this Tes has a very robust black licorice flavor. I add agave to it and it gives the Tea a black licorice sweet flavor. just wonderful. A must try.

My Absolute Favourite

This flavor of Stash tea is, without a doubt, my number one, favourite tea on the planet-- and I've tried a lot of teas! My dad introduced this to me as a child and ever since I've been in love. I have recommended and given this tea to many friends, most of which became addicted (aside from a few that said it was "too sweet" because they are lame). The tea is definitely sweet since licorice root is 50x sweeter than sugar (as it says on the back of the box). It doesn't need any added sugar, wouldn't taste good with milk and will satisfy anyone with a sweet tooth I'm sure. I honestly want to thank the company for making this tea, I love it so much :)

This is the tea that got me hooked on drinking tea; it's the gold standard of tea flavors that I measure all other teas against (and none have ever surpassed it as my favorite). It starts with a hint of star anise, followed by a note of citrus, and finishes with a lovely mix of cinnamon, cardamom, and clove (the chai trifecta, but nowhere near as overpowering as they are in Stash's Chai Spice flavor). The licorice root makes it sweet, so there's no need to add anything to your brew, and I find that the longer I brew it, the more I like it (it never becomes bitter).

I also discovered this past summer that it makes an EXCELLENT flavoring for homemade ice cream. The first time I served it as an ice cream I was told I could market it! Simply make a basic 1 qt custard base and then steep six tea bags in the base (or 6 tsp in an infuser if you buy the loose tea, which is recommended by far!), covered, for an hour. Churn and serve!

I love licorice. It is healthy, that is licorice root. This tea has an amazing blend of flavors the pricks your senses and leaves you very relaxed. It is almost intoxicating. It has become one of my favorite teas. Fairway in NYC ran out of the flavor and I am having a panic attack... I am sipping it as I write. I am in heaven. I will have to try more of your teas. This one is a winner!!!

This is my favorite tea for home and work, hot or cold. It lifts my mood with the first cup and makes me feel so good. The flavor is amazing and like no other licorice spice tea I have tried. I always have used the bags, but will be definitely ordering the loose leaf when I can.

I am new to Stash Tea and I really like this tea. I have tried a few different kinds of Stash tea and while I do not like them all I do like several different ones. Try the Meyer Lemon and the Lemon Ginger. They are also nice teas. I am current looking for the Yumberry but so far have not found it in my shopping area's Will still look for different teas that I want to try.

I don't like anything licorice or cinnamon, but I was in for a surprise when I opened the box that someone gave me. It has a wonderful aroma, and the flavor was just absolutely divine.

I started drinking tea back in Canada when I was about 8, and this was the flavour that started me on it. I LOVED it! Licoricey, sweet, spiced.

When I moved to the US I was hard pressed to find them and I managed to find some but it was the last box and that was gone pretty fast. I had to resort to my family back home sending me care packages of the tea and rationed them to 1 bag a week after the person who had been buying them for me had passed away. My last 3 boxes lasted me a few years.

I managed to recall the brand of the tea and when I found out I could order them online I jumped and bought a pack of 120!

my only gripe is that I need to use 2 bags to get the flavour I really want from the tea. Also, being a firefighter, I would have preferred them caffeinated too ;)

4/5 because I gotta double the bags X)

If you're a fan of licorice...

I have NEVER been a fan of black licorice in any form. I was willing to try one single cup of this for the sake of saying I had. And it was shockingly awesome. It has a sweet aftertaste with a touch of cinnamon. The licorice flavor is at the foreground, but it is not unpleasant. This will be particularly excellent for someone who enjoys licorice flavor.
