Product Details

GUAYUSA (gwhy-you-sa) is a rare herbal tea produced from the leaves of a holly tree (ilex guayusa) native to the Amazon Rainforest of Ecuador. Guayusa is naturally caffeinated and has an awakening effect similar to coffee and yerba mate. For this signature blend, we've combined Guayusa with velvety cocoa for a dessert-like tea that's rich and stimulating.

A morning favorite

This to me is an excellent breakfast tea. I like the caffeine-clarity effect of guayusa, and I am fond of chocolate teas. At first I thought the combination was kind of strange, but by the end of each cup, I invariably want to brew myself another one! In fact when I ran out recently, I got antsy every morning til I ordered some more! It may not be the tea for everyone, but I love it. The cheerful packaging doesn't hurt either!

Chocolate tea... great after lunch!

If you love tea and you love chocolate you will like this tea. It has a great, not overpowering, chocolate flavor. And guayusa gives almost as much of a caffeine boost as coffee but without the side effects. I also like the guayusa mint and guayusa lemon teas from Stash.

Really Nice Tea

Love this tea! Beautifully fragrant, like real chocolate, taste is smooth and not bitter. I do not feel the caffeine crash later on as with some other teas. Well done! Would love to see some other blends.
