Tea pots 101

This teapot is small for a reason. It is modeled after traditional asian style teapots and meant for delicate and often finicky green and oolong teas that require multiple small batch infusions to fully release their flavors, almost all high quality green teas benefit greatly from having multiple infusions and it is often considered that each steeping creates an entirely new tea. This teapot is not meant for brewing 32oz batches of earl grey or fruity tea blends that can often benefit from these large batch steeping.

Here's a little teapot

So here's the deal. When I drink tea, I don't drink it out of an espresso glass. I don't think any American does. This thing looked great on here, and it really is a cool little teapot. Here's the rub: it's unbelievably tiny. I'm talking small. So, unless you're interested in brewing a single (small) cup at a time; I recommend you find something with a little more capacity. To be fair: it does advertise itself as having 16 oz capacity. I guess that was just even less than I had imagined!
