Product Details

For our decaffeinated English Breakfast, we have used a decaffeination process using a completely natural European process that removes 99.5% of the caffeine while retaining all the flavor, color and aroma of the tea. The result is a strong, rich tea. It may be enjoyed with milk or lemon and makes an exceptional iced tea. This flavorful tea is perfect to drink any time of the day.

The prototype for English Breakfast was developed over a hundred years ago by the Scottish Tea Master Drysdale, in Edinburgh. Marketed simply as "Breakfast Tea", it became popular in England due to the craze Queen Victoria created for all things Scottish. Tea shops in London, however, changed the name and sold it as "English Breakfast Tea". English Breakfast has become a favorite of tea drinkers worldwide and is the tea most often enjoyed during English High Tea.

Note: The 1000 ct tea bags are packaged loose in a box.

Best decaf black tea I've ever tried

Bought this for a visiting friend who needed to avoid caffeine. I've enjoyed many different brands of 'English Breakfast' blends over the years, and while Stash's is not my top fave, the decaf IS. It doesn't have that flat taste many decaf black teas do. The Nilgiri taste glows like a lantern at night but remains smooth. The blend had a bit of maltiness, but nothing oppressive. I always think of my English grandmother when I sip this one. Excellent sipping tea for when you wake up in the middle of the night not feeling well.

This is the best decaf black tea I've found. The price is very reasonable when ordered direct from Stash Tea. I usually drink it very strong with milk and sweetener. It's a flavor I'm so fond of, I drink several cups a day. My friends also like it when I have them over for a tea party. For the person who has to go decaf, this is the tea to try. It's lovely.

I love black teas but have to stay away from caffeine. It is very hard to find really good black teas that are decaf and full of flavor. I love Stash English Breakfast decaf that I order a case at a time so I never run out. Everyone I serve this tea to love it and want to know where to get it.

I have looked high and low for a decent decaf black tea and this is the best I've been able to find. I love black tea but need to avoid the caffeine. I usually steep it longer than recommended to get the maximum flavor. I hope that one day new techniques will create a decaf tea that tastes much more like its caffeinated original.

I brew a cup first thing in the morning and it starts my day in a uplifting way. A cup of English Breakfast tea can solve most problems, from a tummy ache to a disappointment. A cup of tea with my grandma and my mother was always a special time. Especially when we had been apart for a while. My grandma always made pound cake for our yearly visits and we picked out a beautiful bone china cup from her collection for our tea. Stash Tea always tastes better in a bone china cup!!! She boiled water on her old farmhouse woodstove and brewed up a pot of tea in a lovely old teapot. Great memories that I recall whenever I enjoy a cup of Stash tea.
