We've been enjoying this double spiced chai in bulk for years - it is a morning ritual. We brew it (cook it actually) for hours each morning and add lots of soy milk and honey in a cup for a darn good chai. Our favorite.

I like the idea of double spice, but I prefer other chais over this one. Not enough ginger for my taste. Too much baking spice. Might be better in fall.

Five years ago I was introduced to Double Spice Chai. I am a serious Tea drinker so I have found Stash to be the best. But you can't always find it on the shelves so here is the buy @ 90ct. I take my tea cup with me everywhere. In restaurants I just ask for hot water. After brewing for about 5 mins everyone around wants to know what I'm drinking. Often I will give a tea bag I carry in my purse to the server. More than once they have thanked me. The other two teas that essential in my life is Peach Ginger and Double Bergamot.

I decided to 'give up' coffee (it was upsetting my stomach) but I didn't want the caffeine headache that comes when going 'cold turkey' so I found this Spiced Chai Tea -- I'm IN LOVE! Granted, I drank a lot of coffee, (by a lot I mean in the neighborhood of 2 pots a day) - now I can get about 2 full 20oz cups of tea per bag! I wonder if they do or could make this for a Keurig? (But I know I'd have to hide the box if they did!) This is an excellent alternative to coffee. Smells great, tastes great, and has enough caffeine that you won't get a 'giving up coffee' headache! Thanks! Great find!

Heavy on clove

I was looking to get the original Chai but more so with Double Spice but it seems a little heavy on the clove for my taste.

A mug of deliciousness!

I used this delicious tea for a Hot Spiced Chai on my blog and it turned out simply amazing. I steep the tea for about ten minutes because I like it extra strong, sometimes longer. I put in about two tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk and stir. Top with little whipped cream and fresh nutmeg. It is simply fantastic and is just as good hot as it is blended or with ice.

This tea is just as good on its' own and unsweetened. Sometimes I just add milk or cream. If I am not making a latte, I use agave or honey to sweeten rather than sugar. Best brand ever!

Excellent flavor, but not so stong as it might be ...

Your tea has a wonderful, earthy flavor reminiscent of autumn and peat moss, and your instructions would have me use at least two bags in my pint-sized mug; but one of your competitors' bags is enough. I prefer Stash, though. I do wish, if you must raise the price, that you do so without shrinking the package. Nobody is fooled for long.

Best Brewed in Milk

Best brewed in milk and sweetened with honey (gives it a richer flavor than sugar). Sometimes I "cheat" by brewing it in water, then adding a spoonful of powdered, whole milk. Heavy cream also works in a pinch.

About 10 years ago we only had a Christmas gift sample package of various Stash teas when guests arrived for an unplanned visit. We made a pitcher of sweet iced Chai spice tea to accompany a light snack. We became instant converts to iced chai tea that evening and have been purchasing the double spiced chai variety ever since it was first introduced. It is the only iced tea we make and over the years have converted many friends to the same. We also like to drink it hot by the cup with a little milk and a bit of vanilla syrup. Note: We typically brew 4 tea bags in a quart of hot (not boiling) water plus 1 cup sugar. When cooled, we add 3 quarts water and chill for a few hours before serving.

Stash's Double Spice Chai blend really lives up to its name. It's great with a touch of honey and some milk. The tea itself is beautiful, with whole spices and nice blend of black teas. Brews up strong and spicy and makes the kitchen smell wonderful. It has a good solid spicy kick, mostly cinnamon/cardamom/clove, then the tea comes through with a nice malty backdrop. Recommended for people who like a lot of spice in their chai!
