Product Details

For many years, Stash Earl Grey Tea has been a favorite of tea lovers. Many people seem to love the careful balance of citrusy oil of bergamot and the blend of fine black teas which our Earl Grey blend is famous for. Certain Earl Grey fanatics have grown especially fond of the top grade Calabrian oil of bergamot that we use and have asked for more, ..More,... MORE! Thus Stash Double Bergamot Earl Grey was born.

This is a great late afternoon or early evening tea. It goes very well with shortbread and cream scones. And for a uniquely appealing cold beverage, try Double Bergamot Earl Grey tea on ice.

Note: The 1000 ct tea bags are packaged loose in a box.

Could there be a better Earl? (I don't think so)

Oh my goodness, I can't say enough about this tea. I can't believe years ago the earl grey teas were the ones left in the sampler pack that I didn't like. Now I love earl grey and can't get enough of it, and this one will knock your socks off. One of my favorite teas. I have a lot of teas (and I mean a lot) becuase I don't like to be bored and variety is the spice of life, right? But sometimes I get on an earl grey kick and want to drink it every day. Maybe it's becuase bergamot is uplifting. Every time I smell it or think I do I want a cup right then and there ;) I also always thought "who would put milk in their tea, that is so gross", but have since eaten my words, somewhat literally I guess. Since I found out it was better for you to add a tiny splash, I tried it, cringing, thinking it would taste like warm or spoiled milk....then the pleasant surprise of "I don't really taste it at all" but it rounds out the flavors and now I don't go without it.

Great taste and aroma. Only true bergamot fans seem to love this one. My other friends think this tastes soapy. I have also used it in cakes.

Did not taste like the previous batches

I really liked the Stash company's Double Bergamot Earl Grey Black Tea. I always ordered the 240 count tea bags. This time, the Earl Grey tea does not taste the same, it seems to me that the formula/recipe has changed. Now it has a dusty/soapy taste to it. I contacted customer service and they told me I can return it. I taste tested some other Earl Grey teas, Numi has a pretty good Earl Grey tea.

I've been ordering Double Bergamot Earl Grey tea for a number of years, and I love the flavor. Whenever I travel, I always bring my own tea bags and leave a couple of samples in the rooms of B&Bs; that way others get to taste how good the tea is.

This is my second favorite Stash tea. I love fruity teas, and the double dose of bergamot oil makes this a citrusy sweet delight! It makes a great iced tea, and a great hot tea - and is best in the afternoon with a nice scone. Love it!

I love black teas and although i have only had this once so far, it is my favorite! It has a very full, robust flavor and gives off an amazing aroma. My co-worker shared this with me and I am hooked!

Best Double Bergamot I've Found

I've tried several Double Bergamot Earl Greys from various places, and this one has the best balance of flavors. Smooth, not bitter (unless one overbrews, of course), and wonderfully aromatic. I drink mine plain, no sweetener needed.

My favorite bagged tea

I love this tea- it has a very rich flavor. I make sure I have it on hand at all times. The only down side is I have been able to find it in stores all of twice in the years I have been drinking it, so I tend to get a lot at one time to save on shipping.

If you want a mild or fruity tea, this is not for you!

Not what I was hoping for, I guess. The base tea is too overpowering and smokey for the floral-citrus notes I expect from bergamot, and the extra strong bergamot gives an unpleasantly acrid aftertaste for me. Smells really wonderful in the bag, but this is not my favorite tea. I might try brewing the bags I have left at half-strength or less and see if that helps (although then I'm just back at regular Earl Grey...)

Update: I just couldn't drink this tea. I traded the rest of my box to a friend for some Jasmine Pearls. She's happy, I'm happy, it's all good.

I love earl grey tea. Some how I was expecting something different from the double bergamot version. The stash version is a little different than what I'm used to. While there is a difference between this and the regular earl grey, it's not as much of a difference as I had anticipated.
