The best travel mug for tea!

I bought myself one of these mugs last year and absolutely love it. I use it all the time. It keeps your tea warm and looks great as well. I love being able to see the true color of my tea. It somehow adds to the whole experience of drinking tea. Every tea lover should treat themselves to one of these mugs!

Caution Hot Water

Purchased this travel mug several months back, it replaced a plastic one I found in China three years ago.

It's nice looking, but the cover is difficult to align with the threads and a good seal requires significant torque. It often leaks, frustrating.

The tea sits on the top therefore best to fill water before adding loose tea, or the expanding tea will cause the water to back up. Another Be Careful it's Hot.

Be extremely careful when removing the top. Hot water will get yah - Ouch!

When making a short tea, turning the unit on its top is necessary. The top, however, is contoured therefore it is unstable on the surface it's sitting - Oh and it often leaks.

Why not have the tea basket threaded to the bottom?

Nice looking but mechanically unsound - Tea engineering 101 :)

Disappointed but will keep using it

The design is great, the mug is beautiful, and no leaking so far.

My only gripe with this travel mug is that it does not keep your coffee/tea latte/tea hot/warm longer than one hour, so what's the purpose? It also has a wide opening to sip from, so if it falls or tips over, all or most of the content will come out.

I poured my tea latte this morning straight from the coffee maker (on heat and froth) (just got the mug in the mail yesterday). I put the lid on right after pouring and set it for about 5 minutes before going to work (30 minute commute). When I got to work, the tea latte was barely warm.

This mug is perfect for someone that is looking to consume their tea shortly after pouring, and not traveling farther than 30-45 minutes.

I'll use this travel mug for my office or home, but not to take out anywhere as it won't stay hot/warm for long. I'll go back to using my Teavana Stainless Steel Insulated Tumbler, for traveling as it stays hot/warm for hours on end.

Better than good

Needs 6 or more stars. Last thing first: it's beautiful and even more so when light shines through the tea (ok, corny but just look at it sometime). Keeps the tea hot much longer than a mug (can read the whole paper and have a nosh and it's still nice and hot) and so easy to carry out and about.

Loose or bag teas work great. Sturdier than it looks, I've banged it on the desk a couple times and it's in perfect shape still.

I happily recommend it to anyone who loves to take their tea with them to the office or even a long drive on a cold morning.

Oh yeah, it's a good conversation starter too....where'd you get it.......what's Stash?........keep your tea hot?.......tea?what's wrong with coffee?

Tea's ready now so must go have a sip.

So Convenient

This glass mug is very convenient. I drink a lot more tea because of it. I don't need to wait around in the kitchen for three minutes for my tea to steep--instead, I just put the hot water in and get in the car, sit at my desk, etc and flip the mug over when it is finished steeping. It's elegant and people often ask me to show them how it works when I bring the mug with me.

Best Christmas gift ever

This was a Christmas gift and had no idea my wife was going to get it for me. I used to just drink tea bags, but now I drink nothing but loose leaf tea. This mug is so convenient. There is no hassle, just insert leaves and drink, the strainer keeps the leaves in your mug. I now drink about 6-8 cups a day. Best gift ever!!!!

FYI - Original Christmas Eve tea is my favorite, anytime of year.
