Best Tea Au Lait Ever
February 14, 2015

I love anything lavender, so I purchased this tea in the grocery and then bought the store out. Although it is lovely on its own, for a real treat I steam and froth milk and add 1 sugar, which seems to bring out the lavender flavor even more. I now order on line because I can't be sure to find this in the grocery and I don't want to be without it.

This tea is like a fine perfume.

This may be my favorite tea I have tried from Stash. It's a great variation on early grey that is soothing and tasty.

The tea is truly like a fine perfume as it has a top note, middle note, and base note. The first thing that will hit you when you smell this tea is that it reminds you of earl grey. That is due to the inclusion of bergamot. The citrus flavor is the top note and you will notice it immediately. The bergamot then fades away to the lovely, floral middle note of lavender. While present, the lavender does not completely dominate the palate. It is in the finish/aftertaste that you get the vanilla, which is why it serves as a base note.

This is a unique tea that balances flavors.

My new morning tea

This tea is a worthy adversary for my traditional Earl Grey Creme. I prefer loose leaf teas so I'm delighted that this can be ordered in loose leaf. I shared this with one of my friends, and she agrees that it is the best black tea she's ever had. I add absolutely nothing to it, and brew the same leaves at least twice, if not three, and it does not disappoint!

I was hoping this would be the black tea version of Christmas in Paris, which I love, but I was wrong. The burgamot, lavender, and vanilla flavors clash and fight for supremacy, leaving my tongue confused, which is strange as I love those flavors otherwise. I will not be buying this again.

This is one tea that gets the attention of anyone in the house when I brew a cup - they always ask "what smells so good?!" I was worried the lavender flavor would be too strong for my liking, but it's just right, and makes this tea a great choice for a with a lazy, late breakfast, or for a mid-afternoon break (complete with thoughts of escaping to see the sights of Paris).

The perfect tea to pair with the good things in life. Lavender and bergamot are a perfect mix to flavor this tea, and I would drink it no matter what it was called (but the name helps)!

Breakfast in Paris is lovely. My boyfriend enjoys black tea but he didn't want to try this one because he thought the lavender would be too strong. All it took was me brewing one cup and he had to try some. It's now his favorite.

Relaxing

I love the smell of lavender and now the taste as well. I thought it might be weird at first (as some teas that have flowers in them I just don't like, it feels like I am drinking perfume and I can't get past that) but this is not one of them. It is relaxing but it still has the black tea to put a bit of pep in your step. Great tea. Thanks stash!
