Product Details

Centuries of tea blending experience go into the creation of this original blend of fine green teas, including Matcha, the powdered leaf tea used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. This tea has a pale golden color in the cup and a delicate flavor with a hint of sweetness.

In 1690, Japan was ruled by the Tokugawa Shogunate, the Manchus had repelled the Mongols, Louis XIV ruled in splendor from his new palace in Versailles, Czar Peter had just attained the throne and Johann Sebastian Bach was five years old. And that same year in Japan, the Yamamoto family began producing premium teas, a tradition that continues to this day. More than three centuries of experience go into the selection and processing of Yamamotoyama Teas, among the finest in the world.

Best Tea Ever

I love this tea. I drink two cups every morning. It is mellow, no bite or harshness to it, and for someone who has caffeine sensitivities, I could drink it all day. This tea’s subtle flavor is appealing and slightly sweet – no sugar necessary (for me). Undoubtedly the best tea I have ever had; I can't start my day without it. I carry a few of these tea bags with me all the time, because my day isn't complete without this tea. And everyone I have shared this tea with really enjoys it too. (Over the holidays sharing w/family I actually ran out.)
